SVT KOBRA Scandinavia's leading culture and arts show came to Santa Monica in October 2014 to interview Christine while she was working on her new Nordic album. They had found her orchestral piece "Snow", that she wrote and performed in Stockholm in 2008. And the fact that she was involved with the very snowy Frozen as the inner voice of Snow Queen Elsa, made her a very interesting candidate when they set out on the quest to find snow expressed through art and music. And the timing couldn't have been better - Christine was writing the new song Crystals with her friend and colleague David Bertok and some Norse viking music with friend and colleague Hilgrove Kenrick.
They also featured Wilson "Snowflake" Bentley, met with snow artist Simon Beck and the writer Olivier Truc.
Wilson Bentley was the first one to capture snowflakes in a picture - already in the early 1900's.
"Under the microscope, I found that snowflakes were miracles of beauty; and it seemed a shame that this beauty should not be seen and appreciated by others. Every crystal was a masterpiece of design and no one design was ever repeated., When a snowflake melted, that design was forever lost. Just that much beauty was gone, without leaving any record behind." -Wilson Bentley (1925)
